PAstor Steve Dawson
CHIEF CULTURE OFFICER
Pastor Steve serves as Chief Culture Officer at ESI Total Fuel Management, where he provides leadership focused on organizational culture, values alignment, and people-centered stewardship. In this role, he supports ESI’s commitment to building a high-integrity, resilient organization by strengthening the cultural foundation that underpins performance, collaboration, and long-term trust with customers and partners.
Pastor Steve brings a uniquely diverse professional background spanning financial services, pastoral leadership, and marketplace ministry. He spent 20 years in the financial services brokerage industry, including 15 years as a partner at Dawson, Hulick & Associates, where he gained deep experience in business operations, client relationships, and ethical decision-making. He later served 15 years as Senior Pastor in two congregations and currently remains active as a member of the senior leadership group at The Life Church in Manassas, Virginia.
In 2002, Pastor Steve founded Keystone Christian Ministries, through which he has served as a full-time marketplace chaplain to more than 60 businesses. His work focuses on supporting leadership teams and employees through mentorship, counseling, and values-based guidance—helping organizations foster healthy workplace cultures grounded in trust, accountability, and respect. His relationship with ESI extends back to the company’s early years, providing continuity and deep institutional understanding.
At ESI, Pastor Steve’s role supports leadership development, employee engagement, and cultural consistency across the organization. His presence reinforces ESI’s commitment to servant leadership, ethical stewardship, and care for people—ensuring that as the company grows, its culture remains aligned with its mission and values.
Pastor Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William & Mary, a Master of Theological Studies, and a Master of Divinity from Chesapeake Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife Sharon since 1973 and is the proud father of four grown children and grandfather to eight grandchildren.
