With more than 40 years of experience across marine engineering, fuels and lubricants, logistics, and critical power systems, Alex has played a defining role in establishing fuel quality management as a core discipline in data center and mission-critical facility operations .

Alex founded ESI in 1995, helping create an entirely new product category focused on stationary diesel fuel conditioning and long-term fuel reliability. He is the inventor of ESI’s patented Clean Fuel System™ and co-inventor of iTANK®, technologies that continue to advance how standby power systems are designed, maintained, and monitored in high-reliability environments . Under his leadership, ESI developed an integrated fuel management ecosystem encompassing fuel supply, storage, conditioning, monitoring, emissions data, and environmental compliance—addressing the full diesel fuel lifecycle with technical rigor and accountability.

His early professional background includes ship design and marine engineering with the American Bureau of Shipping and more than a decade with Mobil Oil Corporation, where he gained deep expertise in fuels, lubricants, supply chain logistics, and product management. This foundation continues to inform ESI’s engineering-driven approach to infrastructure design, system resiliency, and operational performance .
