Summary
Charlotte Marcus specializes in providing critical power fuel system management support for data centers across multiple industries, including communications, financial, and healthcare markets, as well as municipal utilities and military installations. Her unique expertise in critical power infrastructure support is focused on key supply chain systems and inputs that provide diesel fuel, fuel testing, fuel equipment, servicing, and emergency response during unplanned downtime as well on an ongoing basis. Charlotte is a key part of the ESI team, and she helps assure fail-safe generator reliability for customers – a key to protecting lives and assets.
A veteran of the oil industry, Charlotte provides logistical awareness and global visibility in critical power supply chains, maintaining 100% transparency of sourcing, transport, storage, testing status, and records at all data center and critical power facilities under contract. This unique skill set has enabled many data center customers to avoid costly regulatory action by providing them with 100% transparency in logistics and record keeping, a value-added service which does not exist in the Fuel Management industry.

Experience
As Business Director, Charlotte Marcus is accountable for directing and maintaining sound financial operations, executing efficiency in administrative processes, and guaranteeing data integrity at ESI Total Fuel Management. A key function of Charlotte’s position is ensuring that ESI’s business is both resilient and ongoing — no matter what the circumstance. She procures, manages and deploys cutting edge technology to maintain Fuel Security and access for customers. Charlotte also helps ESI deliver value for both employees and customers across a wide range of business portfolio needs, including Customer Service, Accounting, Purchasing, Quoting, Scheduling of fuel deliveries and field services, and Records & Reporting.
Charlotte brings more than 20 years prior experience from Mobil Corporation, where she developed both technical and business expertise at Mobil’s US Headquarters in Fairfax, Va., in Supply, Distribution and Trading, and Marketing Operations Divisions. She has proven skills in inventory management, logistics, transportation economics, contract negotiation, financial analysis and product costing. Her skills were acquired through a wide range of experiences and responsibility in both fuels and lubricants, including supply and distribution logistics at all levels of fuel movements from marine to pipelines to trucks; and in operations management at fuel terminals, bulk plants and lubricant manufacturing facilities.
Early in her career with Mobil, Charlotte was assigned to the Marketing Engineering Division in California, with varied responsibilities in service station and bulk terminal design and environmental compliance. Prior to leaving ExxonMobil in 2000, while in the Controllers group, she helped transition financial and operational records to facilitate the merger of Mobil Corporation and Exxon. She then stayed on after the merger to assure the smooth operation of the blended functions.
